This post entailed a new approach. I took two different (severely manipulated) photos and rather than merging them, I simply put them side by side and softened their edges.
Whutchu think?

Yeah, that could work. I intentionally wanted to create a form of assymetry to heighten the contrast.
You did achieve a form of assymetry. I will say -- well done! I like the colors and the shapes together.
