To the rescue

No, I'm not taking Prozac. (Not that there's anything wrong with it.) I can't explain this rash of color. And happiness. I'm as displeased and disappointed with it as you are, and I'll soon return to my default of all things dark.

But when??

I'm getting distressed by it.

The good news is that I'm still a tyrant. As Timekeeper will attest, this photo was completely "scripted."

"No, Nora! Do NOT look at your mother! You're to look at Emma. What are you thinking? Think of your motivation, Nora. This is a comedy. You're the driver. It only works if you're NOT looking ahead at the road. People. Take your cues, please. I need bigger smiles. Hey, stop crying!!"

Okay, maybe it wasn't quite that severe. But it was close. Timekeeper, what do you say?

I will first say, I do love this photo. Believe it or not, I see it as a very good, well done photo, and seriously I have not seen a better shot of one of these "stick in your faces, kids!" boards, ever before. It framed the board itself perfectly, at a perfect moment as to each the kid. That's a sincere compliment.

The main reason I like the photo here, however, is because your posting it basically cuts the final barrier, in effect saying, "I will post any photo on this site." Which my ear hears and translates to, "and therefore, you Dear Reader may post any comments you like on this site as well." Barriers, removed. (said ala Peter Sellers as Inspector Clouseau, "rih-moo-ved").

Giddyup.

My apologies to Timekeeper - upon closer review, it captures "those kids and that one adult" perfectly.

And I should have said "stick your face in, kids and adults alike, board."

We sincerely apologize for the oversight.

AD-We can really say anything we want in the comments now? Yay!

I like cheese.

Andy D: Respeck!

Shinigami-sidhe: I was wondering whether you'd ever own up to such a claim. Do you feel better? See? My blog heals.

S-S, excellent post. Liberating, isn't it, to speak your mind freely?

This prompts the question, if we were cheese, what kind would we be?

I would be giant block of very sharp, smoky cheddar, because that is the best kind of cheese.

You, S-S, might be a brie? Name a cool cheese, that would probably be you. And most of you out there.

MB?... Unsure.

Depends on whether he's back to his "bleu" period...

Andy D. Flattering, your brie suggestion, but I would rather consider myself a crumbly white Stilton with mango and ginger, because that is odd and delicious.

MB? I'll go with a bleu cheese, but what kind of bleu cheese?

Oh, cheese, with its many varieties of molds, how I love it!

Well, I'm wild for bleu cheese, but you know me. I'd be threatened by any cheese you might suggest.

As long as you are distressed and displeased by all the color, I guess I am okay with it.

steven taylor: you crack me up, brother.

Okay, focus people, focus!

Yes, professormikey did tell us how to pose. But it was not in a more tyrannical way than usual. Notice I did not say it was not tyrannical. It is just that we are all so used to it, it does not stand out at all. (I worry for the kids) And, another thing, I think this photo is so great...and, yes, the best "people of all ages stick your heads through there" picture I have ever seen. So even if there was blatant over-the-top tyranny, all was forgotten once I saw the brillance of this shot.

Timekeeper: Perfect. It couldn't have come out better if I had coached you.
