Does not make me sad--no surprise there. But it is a cold photo. So if cold makes you sad, so be it.
I would think that there must be a lot of lonely people spending their days in a building like that. And that's sad. Pretty picture, though.

Hillsides in shadow, late afternoon, always fill me with dread. Same effect for me with this one.
Late afternoons are generally visually dreadful. No kidding. Everything is all washed out, the color and shadows. Oh, it's terrible. Best to stay inside.
