Inside: Photos of eyeballs, bees, eyeballs, blue hands, and eyeballs. Also inside: Thoughts I want you to read and to live by and, when especially inspired, to set to opera. Also inside: my fight against vegetable tyranny. Just a little something I do so you don’t have to. You're welcome. Come on in and get your jibber jabber on!

I like this photo not just due to the title, but because I confess here that I am entranced for a period of about 5 minutes anytime I see a true 3D model or globe like this that actually shows the true size and shape of Antarctica. I am so tired of the 2D "unfolded globe" Mercator projections. They are so 20th century. Or 15th, or whatever, showing Antarctica simply as a long skinny frozen land that makes no spacial sense. Give me instead the Winkel Triple projection, anyday.
