SOUTH DAKOTA IS IN DA HOUSE!!!!!!!!

Oh South Dakota, how I love you. You of Badlands fame, the Black Hills. I've always loved you, and now I see that you love me, too.

I just love everything about you.

I'm so happy.

I don't know why I'm so happy.

Hey isn't that the bag of shredded legal documents you told me you'd be glad to dispose of for me?

If you are taking requests now (as may be the case, based on the prior posting), may I make one?

You keep showing us all the big cities you visit. Could we see 2-3 posts involving shots of Rome, please? More specifically, your favorite places to go and/or things you're most proud of? Could be restaurants, a lake/walk, your house, whatever. And yes you can make them as negativized, bleached, stark, or artsy as you feel you need to, to conform to the sensibilities of your website.

You do frequently put up shots of family or friends or places there around where you live, but not in a coherent "here's Rome" way like you do when you take us through, oh gosh where have we been for example,... oh just say NOLA or NYC. I don't know why they come to mind.

You takin me?

A little explanation on behalf of the bloz (the great and powerful blogger, yada yada yada).

Last year a friend told me that a blogger account can keep track of some visitation data, such as location and number of visits. This is how web sites can say "59 millionth visitor." It struck me as creepy, but he and other bloggers I know convinced me it's perfectly standard. So after much fumbling, I set up the account. Since a visit can be routed through lots of different servers (I guess) it's only semi-accurate in telling me the location of a visitor. For example, before I screened out my own computer visits, it said i was visiting from Conyers, which is a good eighty miles away.

So despite my massive readership, my visits are, um, finite. That being said, over a year's time, they do add up. I've had visitors visit from over seventy-five nations, nearly all of whom were looking for eyeball pics. I've also had visitors from D.C. and every state.

Except South Dakota.

Dear Lord, what hath I wrought...

You wants South Dakota? You-a gonna gets-a South Dakota...

Boom.

(also, I won't mention any locations again, I promise, other than to question whether OzzMan has perhaps "outed" my own location through his chosen Oz persona here...)

I demand that the great and powerful blogger provide me with a more compelling argument for why he cares so about such a state as South Dakota.

A sheep has gone astray, and I must bring it back. That's why I need South Dakota. Also, it has the Badlands, one of my favorite places, as well as Mount Rushmore and the Corn Palace. And Wall Drug Store.

A most underrated state. That has left me and won't visit.

Pout.

Yo, Oz. When you get back, please let us know if you've had a visitor in the night from a certain Southern state up north?

If so, we'll look forward to your fave places around town: the Collesium? The Vatican wall? The viaducts?.... All the Roman delights. All shot of course using that voodoo that you do.

Please.

Big A.

I sure wish I could have been the one to bring you SD. And why am I so happy that SD is now with us? I just can't stop smiling.

At last, here is your response from South Dakota. Your friend, "justcurious," has asked me to check out your blog and to respond from South Dakota. Congratulations on a great piece of work, and count me in as a reader.
