Contrast
The image of the reaching woman was actually a giant building-sized poster behind me, and I was taking a photo of the (presumably) Muslim woman through a glass plate. I took several photos of the image of that reflected poster as well as one of an Einstein reflection, trying to pair each one up with interesting contrasts on the other side of the glass plate. This one was probably the best social commentary, though perhaps not the best composition.

Didn't you go to any cemeteries in New York?
Actually I really like this photo, both for the social commentary value and the way the street light appears to be an ornament in the nude woman's hair.
No cemetaries this time. Next time fo sho. I'm glad you liked the street light. I nearly didn't post it because it bothered me. You opened my eyes.
This is probably my favorite photo you've posted. I would enlarge it hang it in my living room. For both social commentary and aesthetic reasons. (I especially like the contrast between the clarity of the images.)
