Robo-fashion

Being bored at the airport prompted me to take a photo of this lamp...

I'm discovering more and more signs of the imminent robotic revolution in which they become our interior decorating overlords. This robot has groovy taste, I think. I approve.

Light or helmet for the "processing" of the humans? As long as the future is more Matrix (do NOT unplug me! I LOVE the fake wonderful world) and not Bladerunner (lots of darkness and grit...I already have that in our bathrooms). I welcome the relinquishing of all my decisions and independence for a little non-reality rest.

Way to aid the resistance, you turncoat! We don't have a chance with your attitude.

That being said, I concur. Completely.

So who do you think will win - the robots or the zombies?

Were you at the airport in Orbit City??

(That's a Jetsons reference for y'all.)

If George Jetson built the robot invaders, I think I'll take my chances.... "Oh no! Here comes Huckleberry Hound!!"

PS, it's unclear to me what we're timidly waiting for the robots to do. What is it? On one end, we've got redecorating in kind of a nifty Fifties spaceage. On the other we've got full takeover of our race, likely followed by horrific surgeries on us under half to a quarter the correct amount of gas.

Which way are you taking this, Captain Harbinger?

sign me, John Conner.

The adult one. Not the unborn one or the ten year old one. The rockin' Salvation one.

Yes, the one that yells at the director and the make up people for breaking my character. Those idiots!!....

cutting edge robotics research does involve getting robots to fold origami. http://www.cs.dartmouth.edu/~robotics/papers/djb-ijrr2008.pdf

So I imagine their furniture might look more like this:

The robot overlords will do anything that their grad student creators thought would get them published.

Georgia O'Keefe + IKEA + the rudimentary diagrams representing the collected knowledge of a curious army of ten year old boys = this.

I like it.
