And below is the original from which I made the alien hand. You can see the obvious thing I did, but the subtle thing I did was make the arm a touch more curvillinear. (Yeah, I'm proud of that touch.)
Inside: Photos of eyeballs, bees, eyeballs, blue hands, and eyeballs. Also inside: Thoughts I want you to read and to live by and, when especially inspired, to set to opera. Also inside: my fight against vegetable tyranny. Just a little something I do so you don’t have to. You're welcome. Come on in and get your jibber jabber on!

The first one is so striking, with its drawn out proportions, I think I would have cropped the second one and made it an arm duo. Everyone's a critic!
I like the top one as well (both, actually, but especially the top). Was that that actual shape of the shadow, or did you manipulate the image?
Steve Taylor: It's your arm, freak-o. Does your arm look like an alien's?? I'm just saying...
RE: the top one. "ET phone home"
Jonbon--I wanted to make the first one more creepy, natch, so at first I had it upside down and reddish, indicating a post-death direction. But it didn't work. I can't explain why, but trust me, it just didn't have that feel to it. So I decided to go all "cool colors," and the result was more alienesque. And I thought of E.T. as well.
So we got that sh.. goin on for us!
