Self-portrait

Put the camera on a self-timer. A tricky shot.

Nice kicks.

Oh man, this reinforces my original worries. I originally cropped out my legs because, well, they need to go. Tennis shoes and drama are hard to marry, you know. But my favorite part of the photo is how the light on the floor feeds into the small crack and joins the light in the crack from above. And, sadly, that means the legs stay.

"Thank you, Anonymous. They are very good shoes."

"You're welcome, Professor Mikey."

See how easy that was?

Practice makes perfect.

Would it make you feel better if I said that upon my first viewing that the way you captured the ray of light between your feet, it looks like water and conjured an image of the scene in 'Gulliver's Travels' where he straddles the river?

Anonymous: But see our system works out better: I get to kvetch and then you'll write the appropriate thing on my behalf. Kill two birds with one post, so to speak.

And oh, yes, the Gulliver's Travels comparison does help. Yepper.

What size screen does Anonymous have on his/her computer? I can't even see your shoes. I'm sure they're there...but that's because I don't remember you saying all day "How did you let me come all this way with no shoes?" The shoes are so not what anyone would focus on. Until now.

I actually obsessed on them from the start. So who's the weirdo now?

How about a comparison instead to the Rockettes dancing their Christmas line? With tennies on? "Heel toe, heel toe..."

You have no idea how many people have suggested I would be a fantabulous Rockette! Now you can see why for yourself.

You are absolutely right! I DO have no idea how many people have suggested that you would be a fantabulous Rockette. So how many people have suggested it?

Mike Bailey said...

Well Technoprairie--the number of people who have said that would equal the number of people who have seen me kick the light switch to our ceiling fan. And, to hear it from Juli, that would be most people, include hired help, who have been to the house. So lots.
