this guy is about as close to being a renaissance man that i know. he's a man as complicated as he is good.
i like that.
Inside: Photos of eyeballs, bees, eyeballs, blue hands, and eyeballs. Also inside: Thoughts I want you to read and to live by and, when especially inspired, to set to opera. Also inside: my fight against vegetable tyranny. Just a little something I do so you don’t have to. You're welcome. Come on in and get your jibber jabber on!

Agreed. As a former student of both you and this individual, I would have to admit that I was often surprised at the many things you guys participated in outside of your academic life. It's funny how we always want to put other people in a box and how surprised we are when they are seen outside the confines of the box we created for them.
i kind of wish i had more outside my academic life going on than i have right now. but that's pretty much consuming. it's 4:25 am my time right now and i feel behind. i will start grading as soon as i post this. yesterday i started grading at 3:15 am. once i get to work, my day is consumed with meetings and scurrying about.
i've become one of those amazingly boring persons who speaks to people of how tired i am and the hours i'm working. these are the most boring people in the universe.
i am dangerously coming close to becoming one of them. you know, a pod person.
which will not do.
