The jumper

This would make a fun painting in the vein of Norman Rockwell. (Hint hint, you painters out there.) Decrease the number of trees, clear the clutter, and bring forward the dude in the lower right closer to the viewer. But the essential dynamic is here: I like how the eye tracks his stare to find the other dude.

And below is a wimpier diver. Tsk Tsk. Far less impressive.

I assume this story has a happy ending! He appears to be jumping from two stories up into calf deep water.

They were jumping into a deep spot, but good grief they hit the water hard. And loudly. And, yes, they all said it hurt. And how deep I don't know. It did seem like they had to target their location fairly precisely.

Love the juxtaposition of the guy above and the guy below. I don't think any my attempts at capturing that event were any good. I will have to go back and look.

One of you, please show us the photo you took from the top of the tree as you were jumping?

I love this photo -- but I'm frankly much more amazed by the feat shown than by the photo itself!

ST--

Don't go back and look. Go back, look, and crop. As I did.

Andy: Oh, it was impressive to watch. They were crazy.

Crazy, indeed.

And yes: cropping rocks.
