Roman Storm

I dropped my daughter off at pre-school, and the sky was just churning and growing darker by the minute. I was certain a tornado was forming, so (naturally) I parked my car and started taking pictures. I read that a funnel was, in fact, sighted twenty miles south of where I took the picture about a half-hour later. The sky was simply beautiful and powerful. The photo only hints at the "texture" of the clouds.

how did you get the light to come out from behind the clouds? it's really cool. And how the sky slants upward.

The sky could be a graphic in the movie "300"....which was a really good movie, no?

thanks for the nice compliment, erin. i heightened the contrast a little on the computer, and basically that's all i did.

haven't seen "300." not sure i'd like it. i typically don't go for most big manly epoch movies.

not that i have anything against men or epochs.
