Inside: Photos of eyeballs, bees, eyeballs, blue hands, and eyeballs. Also inside: Thoughts I want you to read and to live by and, when especially inspired, to set to opera. Also inside: my fight against vegetable tyranny. Just a little something I do so you don’t have to. You're welcome. Come on in and get your jibber jabber on!

How did you get this picture?
I took my buddy Harvey to an abandoned auto dealership that I had checked out before.
Lots of broken glass around. Trash everywhere.
I was trying to capture emotional despondency. I posed my ever-ready model Harvey, then I crouched down to capture the glass on the floor, and clicked.
I confess that about 20% of the glass you see is "cloned". In other words, for greater effect I digitally covered up a bare spot that just showed saw dust on the floor. If you look very closely, you can see how some of the glass "repeats" itself. I have no problem cheating because my photos are aimed at creating a mood, not at recreating visual reality.
Cool! The picture is amazing. Even after you told me that part of the glass was cloned, I can't pick it out. At least on my computer. So good job!
