Not the uplifting, enlightening material I was hoping for in my last post below - but I will accept it as "proof of life.". Welcome back. See you when you get to the top, #34.

Andy-based on the unexplicated sunshine and joy and of these photos I think the answer to your question about life might actually be "no."

Which leads us to wonder what manner of undead thing our fearless blogger has become.

S-S, judging from that photo of his kid last year, I'd say he's been the next in the family to be zombified. (Remember how quickly that photo was pulled off... I think that was the work of the government.)

I hope all is well? I've missed talking with you, S-S. And with Anonymous, TP, TK, Claudia, Steve-O, and all the rest of us, since... well since MB was zombified on September 24.

What I love here too is that he can post a photo, but not somehow jot out a quick thought with it? I mean I think we need to change the blog name to "Eyeball Central: Occasional Photos, but No More Jibber Jabber."

I mean I would think someone who is silent for what, three weeks now? Has been working up some kind of a monster-sized posting for us? Who knows what all it might entail. Death, of course... Religion -- obviously. Sex -- seems likely. But I'm thinking even bigger thoughts. I mean I'm not talkin bout "what was on tv last night." I'm talkin bout BIG topics. Evolution. Interspecies breeding. Interplanetary exploration. New worlds. Photos as the lens of God. Obviously "life as a zombie."

Hit it, Maestro. You on.

AD-I'm alive and I've been passing the time by growing my fingernails. What about you? And what about everyone else? Anonymous, of course, is alive and charmingly enthusiastic (and I love you for it), but I'm with Andy. Our blogger is dead, and I miss you all. We should chat amongst ourselves at least, even if MB is dead.

*Sniff* here lies MB, our autumn flower. Somewhat less attractive now that he's all corpsified and gross. Now post some photos taken inside your coffin or something.

I am so charmingly enthusiastic (beyond the fact that I am, simply, charming and enthusiastic) because who did those dead flowers belong to? ANONYMOUS! That's right. Mine all mine.

And yeah: MB is probably dead. I just have my fingers crossed that it wasn't a runaway bus or something and he had enough warning to schedule some posts in advance. Like this one.

Gosh, how jealous am I. The dead flowers belonged to Anonymous... I mean, the emotion just consumes me...

Anon, I have to ask -- did you give them some kind of viking funeral at sea? And then give them over to MB?... To photograph?... I still can't quite put all this together...

But kudos on... on... well, on topping us all with your dead flowers on the blog?

Is this what I've been reduced to? Commenting on dead flower envy? Curse you, spirit and soul of MB, for abondoning us. Curse you to Hades and back.

Correct answer: I took MB an enormous bouquet of healthy, thriving flowers and he reduced it to this. Which was the point. Death with the ultimate dignity for my flowers. This is what MB gave to the world. And for this, until he comes to eat our brains, he will be remembered.

RIP

AD-indeed, the act of abondoning calls for great curses.

Anon-why does the stuff you give MB get photographed for the blog and not the stuff I give MB??? I mean, I know I've never actually given him anything, but I've briefly considered ways and means of getting photo memorials on this blog, but I never did, and you have and now you get the honor of MB's blog posts from beyond the grave, and I think even though I'm bitter and angry the stuff I didn't give him deserves just as much blog recognition as the stuff actually given him by the charmingly enthusiastic.

Anon, way to step up with the "Eulogy for a Zombie"!!! Now that's highly exciting!!

Now. One more thing.

You gave him the flowers? Ok so.... To intentionally watch them die? Or, in spite of the fact they would die?...

Or, option C, as I would phrase it myself, Knowing he would kill them and/or let them die.

With MB being gone this long, this is sort of like the first time the parents leave the kids alone for awhile?

Only, the kids are a little too young? And the parents stay away a little too long? And it's Halloween? And the kids aren't staying at their own house, but rather a deserted mental asylum? And there's a killer out there somewhere? And the kids don't realize there are old weapons stored nearby they could use when it all goes wrong....

I just don't have a rosyglow feeling about the outcome of this at all.
