they don't look they're floating at all, actually. which is interesting to think about. why don't they. it's because they're all facing the same way, right? or is it something else?

I think it is because they are all facing the observer. Too much uniformity to really look like they are floating.

I think it's because flowers don't float in space.

and you know what, now that I think about it I must say you're wrong: flowers CAN float in space. They just choose not to. so there.
Well, when they are floating in space, I know I can't hear them scream.
Gestalt. The flowers, despite the missing sections, are still growing in the pattern in which one finds them on a bush. Our minds fill in the rest.
